Composition of Convention
Under clause J.3 of the LNP Constitution, Convention comprises all members of State Council, and delegates from State Electorate Councils (SECs) and Branches (or SEC/Branches where relevant).
Key constitutional references when planning for Convention
- Your Party Unit’s entitlement to send delegates to Convention is governed by clauses F.6 (Branches) and G.4 (SECs) of the LNP’s Constitution.
- In determining the number of delegates your Party Unit can nominate to attend Convention, please refer to clause J.3 or email [email protected].
- In accordance with clause J.4, the registration of delegates to Convention will close on a date no more than seven days before the first day of the Convention.
Notifying the LNP of Party Unit Delegates
The Party Unit Chair or Secretary must provide the LNP Secretariat with the names of appointed Delegates.
